Can you attach a 2000 Sonoma front end to a 1995 gmc sonoma?

I LOVE the front end of the newer model s10's and sonomas.. but i can only afford the older model sonoma. I just recently purchased a 1995 sonoma and i need to know if the newer grille and headlights are compatible with the body on my 95. The fenders andbody seem to be the same look, but the front ends are really different. I just need to know for sure what i can do. Please anyone give me answers..
