What's goin on with Handcent Sms?

I have the Handcent Sms app for my T-Mobile My Touch Fender (HTC Saphire) I added pictures to my contacts in my phonebook, but they are not beind displayed in my Handcent app, just a few. There are time where I close the app and open it again and they show up. But it isn't working anymore. Is any one having this same problem or has had this problem and managed to fix this? Thank you[:
