Is the Fender Squier a good electric guitar for a beginner?

Yes it is but it depends if it is an actual squier versus a squier starcaster. the Starcaster gets out of tune fast, which is good for a beginner to lean to tune his/her guitar. , but it also makes it harder to learn. If you do get the Starcaster begginers kit make sure you get a thicker gauge of strings so it will stay in tune longer also with their mini amp the sound is awesome, rich and lous and the distortion is on the amp. good luck

I found a Baby Blue jay, What should I do?

So my brother found a baby bluejay on the ground yesterday, so we put it in a shoe box with some paper towel and a warm cloth. We fed it some worms and a drop of water, and he seemed okay. I am a very analytical person, to the point where i wont even read a book if the descriptions arn't good enough because it frustrates me. I have a friend who call me all the times and tell me a story step by step about her dogs, her neighbor's dogs and she never finish. First she is crying because her bird died, next she told all about her cat, the cat died also. Next she talks about one dog she picked up from the street because the owner said he was going to kill him. Now the dog is sick and her husband is fed up with. She already has another big dog which she can't afforded. As much as I love animals, I told her that the only thing I could do was loan her $100. so she could take the dog to the vet. Well this is happened on Friday and she said she will comes on Saturday. She didn't call Saturday or Sunday. Today she called me and to tell you the truth I'm afraid to call her because she goes on and on telling me the story how the dog is sick. She does not talk only about her dog but all the neighbor's dogs. What make me mad is that she doesn't stop and keep telling me over and over. I had a heart attack 4 months ago and last night I was so mad I could not sleep. The fact is that when she founded the dog she should had called the SPCA or animal shelter and report the owner. This is the story that goes on and on and I really tire of it. The same day the nurse came to see me and told the story of how sad she was sad because she left 3 or 4 dogs in the shelter and they stays crying and now she missed the dogs OMG WHAT I'm suppose to do? Your advice will appreciated.

Currently weaning my daughter to formula?

she is four months old,i have been weaning since last wednesday. she had been combined feeding for awhile.now we always had this routine where when Sophia wakes up i and goes to sleep she would be put to the breast however when i gave her a bottle which was half breast milk/ half formula, she freaked and wanted the breast, we have been struggling and it is nearly a week now, she is coping better but i admit i have been letting her breastfeed atleast once a day, i am slowly cutting all of the pumping sessions down so soon she will be fully bottle fed but it is just these feeding sessions that our really hard. any ideas

My face is peeling from bad sunburn?

I got this cream from the dermatologist (it's new and stronger than my older one) and I had just gotten it, and put on a little bit then put on face sunscreen and went outside for a garage sale my family was doing then went outside and swam in my pool. Then went inside with a super bad face sunburn. And it just burned. Then the next day (yesterday) my nose started peeling and I put this moisturizer on it and it made it look a little better for this late b-day party for me last night. Then this morning, I woke up and almost my whole face was peeling!!!!! Besides my cheeks but on the sides of my nose so pretty much my whole face! Even my eye lids (a tiny bit) and it hurts when I touch my eye lids. I was my face every day since the burn. And dabbed it with a wet cold wash cloth. And at night I clean my face with this cleanser called "cetaphil" I also got that from the dermatology office! And I'm fed up with this peely skin!!! I look like crap!!!!! I need it gone by next week. Im going to this fourth of July party. And like 2 days after that my family is going on a 2 week vacation to Colorado, Iowa and to visit friends there I have not seen in a couple years and i want to look pretty not peely!!!!! Anybody got any ideas how to get rid of the peeling?

I slapped my baby daughter tonight?

Do we replace car seats or not?

We were involved in an accident the other day but the seats were not anchored in the car (twins were at school) myhusband was going to remove them and clean them after taking me back to work. The damage was to the front of the vehicle (hood,fender and motor). The airbags were broken so did not deploy! The seats fell all around the backseat but there is no visable damage that I can see. Now, since the other person was at fault and AAA is assuming liability, I only want to replace the seats if absolutely necessary.....thanks!

So my brother found a baby bluejay on the ground yesterday, so we put it in a shoe box with some paper towel and a warm cloth. We fed it some worms and a drop of water, and he seemed okay. But when I look up what to do next on the internet, everyone was saying that we were killing it by feeding and taking care of it, not saving it. So we found an old nest that we had, put him in that, and put him in a tree by the area we thought the mother bird was. He has feathers, and seems healthy but very hungry, and i`m worried the mother bird might not find him. I will do anything, even if it`s doing nothing, to help this baby bird. Please Help!!

Advice for a beginner guitarist?

So I just got my first ever guitar (a Fender Acoustic) in the mail yesterday. I played it for 4 1/2 hours straight using online guitar lessons, took a break, then played for about another 2 hours.. Then today, I played for a good 6 hours total. I learned a lot about the basic chords and strumming as well as reading tabs and understanding how to play a basic song. But the problem is, I can't play any songs! It's sooo hard to move from one chord to another fast enough.. I know that this takes time and lots of practice, but I was wondering if maybe anyone had some advice that would help me get past this slump.. It sucks because I feel like I learned so much in one day, and know I'm stuck for who knows how long just to move from one chord to another.. Should I invest in lessons? I really can't afford them right now, but if anyone that's experienced thinks they would help me more than I can myself, then I'll start saving up.. Am I doing something wrong?? Any good free online sites worth checking out? Or maybe some really easy songs I could start to practice (other than the most common ones you'll find by a simple google search)? Speaking to an Army recruiter for the first time?

I've been doing lots of research about joining the army recently. I'm 25 and basically fed up with my career as a correctional officer, looking for some possible change. Very few jobs in the army interest me at this point in my life with the exception of military intelligence. Now based on what I've read in articles and online it seems if anything the army is downsizing, or at least is swamped with recruits. I have yet to speak with a recruiter. When I do is it wrong to basically tell him I'm only interested in a select few jobs, mainly 35M (Human Intelligence Collector) and that if I cannot have that job I'm basically not interested? From my perspective I'm giving up a good salary and my future pension (I've got 5 years in) to join the army, therefore I'm not willing to "settle" on what they have available. I would rather wait or simply not join. This may seem rude or demanding, but I'm just being very upfront, as I expect them to be with me since I view recruiters as looking out for the best interests of the military while I'm looking out for mine and my wife's best interests. Should I even bother going in to talk to him at this point?

those feelings are hard to deal with and frustrating but being a jerk and sending a list is not doing you right. If you really want to deal with it call her or talk in person. It shouldn't be about having her want you again, because throwing that in her face isn't going to make her want you. You need to be mature, address the problem, and then be an adult and move on. Hopefully she will learn that she has been being hurtful and grow up, and you can get on with your life and find someone who will treat you right. Don't stoop to her level and be a jerk about it though. Its not a game, these are real feelings on the line and neither one of you should intentionally be hurtful.

Sounds colicky. So get some Little Tummys Gripe water or Colic Calm. This should help him sleep better. Also hold off on the feedings just a little, maybe he isn't eating enough to really feel him up so he doesn't rest very good. Buy a swaddler blanket and wrap him in that. Whenever you lay him down, even though it is not suggested, lay him on his side, with a rolled up towel or blanket behind him. This will make him feel as if someone is there. When you put the towel behind him make sure you put down near his underarms. That way if he rolls over by any chance it will not be in his face. We had to use the gripe water on my son and we had to lay him on his side to get him to sleep. Hope these help you. Good luck.

My friends thought it would be funny to hack into my email preventing me from going on my facebook, deactivating my account. They created 3 different fake emails resetting my password countless times making many new ones and made the security questions to their advantage one of the questions for example is "why do you want to get into my email?" They messaged my little brother and said they have everything which i believe they don't. Body shop keeps doing a bad job.?

I took my car to get the front and rear bumber repaired. When I got it back the first time I was not happy and told the owner. He told me to bring it back and they would fix it, so I did. When I came back again to pick it up it looked better, but when I got home I noticed my tail light had water in it and was lose, also the front bumper was lose had a 1/4 inch gap between the fender note was not like that when I saw it parked at body shop. So this will be the third time me taking it in for him to repair. Guitar pedal help, overdrive?

I'm trying to get a "light overdrive" sound, like those alternative/indie rock bands. I have a Fender Mustang 1 amp and Fuse software... The Overdrive stomp box settings are Level, Gain, Mid, Low, and High.... I've been playing with the software all day, I can never seem to get the kind of sound I want out of the amp... Hey guys, Im looking for a mid-high range drum set (up to $800) for a nice metal sound, preferably from TAMA or Pearl. I currently have a handed-down squier by fender set that sounds really jazzy and I need a hard rock or even better metal sound. I have Sabian HHX 16 in Crash, and I may or may not keep the ride from the squier set to save money. Fender Rhodes sound -a-like?

i'm a musician, attending berklee college of music. my first instrument is tenor sax, second is guitar, third is voice, and fourth is piano (although i'm really not good at piano, i'm still kind of fishing around) I have always loved the rhodes sound, i've looked up rhodes and frankly they are too expensive for a college student like myself. the piano bass model by Fender looks great, but i can't find them anywhere. what is a small keyboard that can give me that rhodes sound without me breaking my bank account...ps. i have software, it doesn't come close.

I've been researching and correct me if I'm wrong but I thought it was a good choice to start off with a Fender Standard Stratocaster, a guitar I could stay with for the longest time. Can guinea pigs die from depression?

i had rescued two male guinea pigs about 6 months ago (their age is unknown). i had to separate them soon after getting them as one was aggressive toward the other to the point of hurting to less dominate (i had to do this even after moving them into a very large c&c cage). i had them near each other so that they could squeak to each other although they never really did. recently one of them stopped drinking and then eating and would sit hunched over in the conner. so i took him to the vet who found nothing medically wrong with him so i continued to force feed water and critical care however he died soon after the vet visit. could he have died from depression? any ideas what could have caused him to loose interest in living?

So my 7 week old netherland dwarf bunny was about to die: vet told me today he was having seizures because he wouldnt eat. He told me to give him veggies and he is eating them, he is a little bit still lethargic but seems to be getting better. Based on my description does he seem to be getting better: Saturday morning: Attack(seizures) fed him dog nutrition replacer,couldnt walk very lethargic. Sunday: couldnt walk, had an am seizure: feed him milk. Today: vet, could move and walk a little, ate veggies, water and some pellets.

Protected by the outer vinyl skins, there is no worry about minimal moisture intrusion or UV rays invading the foam; however, introduce detergent and water, and you are asking for trouble. I would just concentrate on cleaning the outside with soap suds or even chemicals (naptha, alcohol, etc.), and see what you are able to remove. Bass guitar into a guitar amp?

My guitar teachers always tells me that its perfectly fine to do this, but i have heard otherwise. Some people say that the low frequencies will fry the input/output and the amp will get damaged. I have also heard that only the speaker will be damaged, which seems more likely. Would it make any difference if it were a tube or solid state amp? Im interested in learning some bass, but I want to know if i would need a whole new amp, since i already have an expensive guitar combo amp (fender hot rod, iin caseit makes a difference to know what amp i would be using)

Hey guys, just wondering could ye give me some advice. Me and my girlfriend split up last weekend because she said we fight way too much there's fights have been going on since last summer when she was away the three months. I went over to see her for 3 weeks and during that time I found a load of guys numbers in her phone including a guy down at " hot conner " . I confronted her about this and she said she was too drunk to remember who put it in her phone and they she was just networking. That let that one off until one evening she asks me straight out if guys could buy her drink on a night out for her birthday. I saw no point of my visit at this stage! One of the girls who lived with her there told me afterwards that she always got guys to get and would head out dancing with them! When she got home there was a night when we were both out and got a bit drunk... Anyways when we made it bed she ended up saying " I love you ray " while we were having sex. Ray is not my name!!!! I asked her what this was about and she said she was thinking of her Sis and her befriend! I ended up forgetting about it till the following week when she she drunk again and called my mother " a devil of a mother " during an argument we were having! We broke up but I ended up begging her to take me back. Got back anyways and things didn't change. Her college ball came and she didn't even ask me would I like to go when I took her to my one!! I was angry over that but got over it! The best is yet to come.... Come valentines day I got her a designer bag and perfum, flowers, chocolates and a teddy bear which were on my bed waiting for her, had candles lighting and Rose petals on the bed so make it look great! All I got was a card and a scratch card!!!! I mean why wouldn't you wanna show someone you love them by getting me something nice! I dont like any of the girls, Isabelle is nice but Kadence is a boys name and its a really trendy trashy one at that, Allyson and Adelyn are really nice separately, but they are way too matchy matchy, and Riley and Rowan are both boys names. My suggestion is Isabelle and Adelyn, Belle and Addy sounds much better. Out of the boys, none, they are all good names by themselves, except Greyson which I strongly dislike, but they Connor and Collin and Kyle and Myles are too matchy, do Connor and Myles instead. I dont like any of the boy/girl ones either, I dislike Ivan and its too matchy with Isabella, I dislike Kadence, and Riley is a boys name. Try Isabelle and Kyle. Remember, twins are not part of a matching set, they are not your dolls, they are individual people and deserve to be treated as such, dont give them matching cutesy names.

Way too much! Lol. I'm 13 and I only wear eyeliner. Sometimes eyeshadow. Putting concealer or foundation over bumps just makes them look worst, even if you don't notice. I'm really wanting the Dinair Airbrush Kit. Its supposed to cover up all of your pimples. You should look it up.

How would you feel if you were in my place?

I was friends with this girl. We used to share so much with each other and eventually we became roommates. Then I saw her true colors. She was so needy. Literally, there was nothing this girl could do by herself. My other roommates and I would have to wait on her all the time. From reaching things for her on the top shelf, to walking her to the laundry room. She would make me wait to do things on her schedule, make me hold her stuff when we were shopping and everything. She would cut you off to talk about herself and blatantly ignore you when you were talking to her. It became excruciating for all of us. But because I cannot say no to people, she took the most advantage of me. I eventually just got fed up and stopped doing things for her. I mean, I'm not obligated. I was her roommate, not her mom. When I stopped she started to distance herself from me, She wouldn't talk to me about anything personal anymore. She completely cut me out of her personal life. The only time she would ever talk to me is when she needed my class notes or help with her homework. I don't miss her or anything, at all. She was a pain in the ***, and I'm honestly better off without her. We don't even speak anymore. But at the same time, I can't help but feel hurt. To this day, she leaves me out of plans she makes with my friends and she treats me like I did something to harm her. The intonation on my guitar won't change?

I'm not sure what you mean by moving the saddles "backwards" or "forwards" but maybe you went the wrong way; try going the other way. Also, sometimes you have to make fairly large adjustments to the saddles to get proper intonation. Since you said there was no difference when you adjusted it before, I suggest trying to move it significantly more; you should notice some difference. You really can't hurt the guitar by doing this so don't be afraid to experiment with it (unlike the truss rod which you must be careful to not over tighten). Worse case scenario the intonation will be off, which it already is, so you really have nothing to lose. Additionally, if your action is very high you may not be able to get decent intonation with the range of movement the saddles have. You will need to adjust the bridge and/or truss rod to lower the action if this is the case.

Learning Guitar Scales?

I am just starting out on the guitar and looking to teach myself, I have a Fender Stratocaster and amp, chord chart poster and am trying to start with understanding all the chords and styles. The music I like and am interested in most is rock, blues, melody, and the guitarist I listen to alot are Joe Satriani and all of his styles, jimmy page, eric clapton, Jimmy Hendrix, etc. I have also been reading on some of Satriani's learning curves and coaching advice and am trying to grasp what they call "Pitch Axis Theory" anyways if anyone can direct me to a site or refer a book of some kind that explains the most common and fundamental scales to learn first and a little explaining or summary about what I need to know before moving onto learning the Pitch Axis Theory and trying those out I would appreciate it.

2002 Altima Firewall?

I am installing subs in my 02 Altima. I have put subs in numerous cars, yet I cant find any openings. Anyone installed subs in an 02 Altima? One guy told me to go through the wheel well into the fender into the car, one said to run it under the body of the car and drill through the trunk which sounds 100% retarded, and others said to just drill through the firewall. Its an automatic so i was going to drill where the clutch petal would belong but before i do any other ideas? All my cars Ive owned i been lucky to have a rubber boot that you can pull out to have a pre-drilled hole into my car. If you going to say drill through the fire wall any specific drill bits? Original "Terminator" plot hole?

In the original "Terminator" film, Reese is sent back in time to protect Sarah Connor. They fall in love and he becomes the father of the future leader of the Resistance, John Connor. But, at the end of the movie, Reese is killed. The plot hole is, how could Reese have been sent back to the past from 2000whatever to 1984 when he is killed in 1984 at the end of the film? He should not have ever known John Conner and thus he couldn't have sent him back because he is killed before John is even born. Am I missing something?

Is this a good idea for a book?

I was thinking of writing a fantasy novel called SLAYER. which is about this guy named Conner Slate, a half-vampire teen. in the beginning of the story, he finds out that his ancestors were vampires, and that there was a war between good and evil. when the battle ended, the good vampires thought Dracula was dead, but many years later, they were wrong. since Conner is half-vampire, its "man by day. monster by night.", in other words, he transforms into a vampire, and takes down Dracula and his minions. and that's pretty-much the whole book. any questions?

How good are vacation feeder blocks?

Vacation feeders work great. However you do need to make sure your pH is from 6.8-7.4. If the pH gets to high your feeders won't dissolve on a schedule to release the food. If its too low, it will dissolve too fast and your fish may get hungry.

Should I sell my horse?

I think I already know the answer and just need to be talked into it! We have 4 horses - too many for our small place, really, although we keep them well fed. Two of them came to us free and as a total surprise - they are lovely Dutch Warmbloods. There is a lady here in town who would like to buy the mare (who is my sweetheart) for her pony club daughter -- BUT I don't really ride anymore (I'm heavy and out of shape and a little scared). I do some training with her (really enjoyed getting her past a fear of being bridled and unbridled - that was some hard work! I think she'd been hurt by the bit at one time and was really scared) and adore her, but I guess she'd be better off with the pony club girl. The problem is that I really don't like my husband's two geldings - one is nippy and mean, and the Warmblood is very big and high spirited so I don't even enjoy working with them. My daughter WOULD ride this mare, but she has a horse of her own that is her "main" interest. *sigh*

my puppy wasn't eating Sunday and she was moving around less than she use to (she is very hyper) so we cook up some meat and cornmeal for her when she finally ate she was back to her old natural self running barking and playin. yesterday she fed her again but later in the evening i notice she vomited up little of the food and her stool was soft and little watery but she was still little active and barking. now today i went to check up on her and i saw white foamy vomit and little of the food she ate, what could be wrong with her ?im cooking some rice for her will that help?

Sometimes hard jerking when coming to a stop and breaking?

I recently had a wreck. Hit a telephone pole at approximately 20 MPH. Collision only to passenger side fender. Car is a 2002 Dodge Neon SXT. Now, question is: why does my car jerk roughly when I try to come to a complete stop while breaking? It usually happens when I break lightly and jerks at around 2 to 3 MPH. Doesn't jerk in reverse or acceleration, only stopping. What can and what should I do? I know a lot of family members that know a lot about cars and can fix an easy fix. Is this possibly an easy fix? It started happening after the wreck. Is it transmission problems, warped rotors? Please help I very much appreciate it. Hope I gave a sufficient amount of details. Thanks.

I chipped my Guitar. Help!?

Ok I have a 2007 Fender Mexican made Stratocaster that I bought in 09. Today, I took it out of my gig bag and I started playing in the basement. I hadn't played any gigs so no "stage damage" occured. I was playing and needed to work on the neck so I took it off and to my surprise as I was unscrewing it right next to the neck the paint/finish (black Fender) was chipped down to the wood. I screwed back in the neck and examined the spotand a loose flake came off. I looked around for the other peice and it was where I took my guitar out of the bag! And I definitely didn't hit it over there against anything. Now, my question is will the wood rot? I'm not worried about the look, it makes it cool, but do I need to get it fixed or some how seal the wood. Right now my strat is locked in my hardshell case so answers quick please.

i've been battling with bulimia since june or july of last year (NOT severe bulimia at all). in the beginning of me stopping, i didn't gain weight. now i see that i am starting to gain weight this time when i stopped in May, and i went to my cousins and his mom fed us a lot of food, and when i came home i weighed myself and i gained weight so i binged this morning and purged. my weight fluctuates like everyone else, but it never goes down and i gain weight easy. how can i make my metabolism fast again so i won't be afraid of weight gain as much? im only 16, almost 16.

House sparrow being released?

Hello! Today morning I released a young sparrow, and now I have doubts what I did was right. I hand feed him 19 days (when I got him he was around 3-4 days old), he began to fly one week ago, on Tuesday 21. For the last days I hand reared him every 2 hours, but he also fed on his own... he didn't start to eat big seeds yet. Last three days he was very noisy, and I didn't want him to be closed in an apartment or get used to humans, I also thought he was good in flying. But now that I think back, I truly hope he could find food and other sparrows, and wouldn't miss the syringe. Do you think I should let him go when he would be older and would eat on his own all day long, on your experiences? a also red on the net that sparrows get independent 7- 10 days after they leave the nest (but they leave the nest when they do not yet fly). He also wasn't used of the weather outside, do you think he could find a shelter? And I have one question more..why do you think he was so loud? Even when I fed him he didn't stop cheeping. Why does my son leave his two dogs in a cage to starve?

I visited my 30 year old son house two days ago and he has to beautiful dogs but I was disgusted at what I saw, his two dogs are so thing and starved to death. Feels like something in my eye, after taking contacts out?

Alright so here's my problem. For the past few MONTHS i've been having problems with my eyes and feels like there is something in both of them. It definitely feels like particles are in my eyes, after I take out my contacts and some times very rarely I feel them when my contacts are in. If I blink hard I can feel the particles moving around, but if I don't they seem to settle behind my eye. I have tried eye drops, flushing, pulling my lid down, but that's about it. My eye exam dude looked at them, and he said they didn't see anything, and my eye looks perfect. Any suggestions on what to do to get it out? I am seriously fed up with having this stuff in my eyes... there is DEFINITELY something in there, I just cannot get it out. Also, when changing out my contacts I noticed there was a hole in one a few months ago, maybe that is in one of my eyes. I don't know for sure, but does anyone have any more suggestions? Maybe there is a product to dissolve the particles lol?
